Nurturing mother,child bonding at Vanilla

Chennai, June 12 (UNI) An Israeli woman has launched a unique venture to 'seal' the precious bonding between a mother and her child by creating the 'Vanilla Children Place,' using fun and skill building for the purpose.

Located in the heart of the city, Yifat Agam's (37)aim is to ensure the mother is also a partner in the physical and mental development of the child.

Nothing can be more satisfying for mothers than watching children grow before their eyes even as they acquire skills much crucial for their future.

Talking to UNI here today, Ms Agam said the 'Vanilla Children Place' was created specially to suit the development process of kids between the age group of six months to nine years.

''A lot of thought and attention has been paid even to the minutest details,'' she said.

''The unique aspect here is the mother can also join her child in games and activities and observe at close quarters its small feats.'' The trainers working in the play gymnasium and workshops have been trained to look into the unique aspects and needs of each child and guide them on the right path.

Costing Rs 50 lakh, the place has different concepts such as play gym, programmes and workshops specifically designed to enrich creative expression, nurturing growth, a cafe for mothers to make contact with others, massage parlour and a creative shop where there was an option of purchasing custom made furniture and furnishings for the children's requirement.

The venture is also said to expand its reach by adding four more such centres in the city this year.
