Naga Hoho to convene Federal Assembly on July 11
Kohima, June 12: In a bid to reconcile and unite the various Naga societies, the Naga Hoho has convened a Federal Assembly on July 11 here.
According to a press release issued by Naga Hoho Federal Assembly Secretary Kenyusend Tep here yesterday, a Unity and Reconciliation Committee was proposed and the Naga Hoho had fixed June ten as the last date for nine Naga tribes and organisations for submission of names of their representatives to consider constitution of the Committee.
However, only two names from two tribes - the Ao and Sumi tribes - were received so far.
Consequently, the Hoho decided to convene the meeting with all federal units and all the tribal Hohos, including the Eastern Naga Peoples Organisation, at Kohima on July 11, the release added.
