MK postpones Delhi trip for Prez polls
Chennai, Jun 12 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today postponed his visit to New Delhi, to finalise the UPA candidate for the Presidential elections.
Informed sources said Mr Karunanidhi, who was scheduled to leave for the national capital this evening, had deferred the visit as the Congress-led UPA was yet to finalise its candidate for the polls.
Mr Karunanidhi had last week said he was asked by the Congress to ensure that he was present in Delhi from June 13 to 15 to finalise the candidate.
In view of the fluid situation, it was not immediately known when Mr Karunanidhi would undertake his trip to Delhi.
