New Delhi, June 12 (UNI) The Delhi Government has asked the BSES to immediately take corrective measures in view of the frequent breakdowns and long interruptions in power supply in East Delhi.

Delhi Finance Minister A K Walia and Power Minister Haroon Yusuf have asked senior officers of the BSES to install transformers and LT Cables as per plan prepared for 2006-07.

Non-commissioning of planned transformers and L T Cables has resulted in large number of complaints, an official statement said.

Dr Walia has further directed the BSES to prepare an action plan for the year 2007-08 and gear up for summer and rainy season, failing which the woes of the people are bound to be aggravated.

He has also asked the BSES to replace age-old and non-functional transformers, conductors and cables and win back confidence of the customers.
