Defamation suit between JD(U) MLAs dismissed

Kohima, June 12: A defamation suit filed by JD(U) Legislator Huska Sumi against another JD(U) legislator Deo Nukhu has been dismissed at the conclusion of hearing in the court of the additional district commissioner (judicial) at Dimapur.

According to official sources, two local dailies, the Nagaland Post and the Eastern Mirror were also made respondents in the case.

The court, in its judgment delivered on June seven, said after hearing the counsels of the parties and also on scrutiny of the evidence, it did not find anything wrong in the rejoinders of the proforma respondents as published in the local newspapers.
