Death toll in Bangladesh rises to 92

Dhaka, June 12 (UNI) Death toll from yesterday's disastrous landslides in Bangladesh's southeastern city of Chittagong rose to 92 with 12 more bodies recovered this morning.

Police and fire brigade sources said ten more bodies were recovered from a lemon garden in Hathazari sub-district while two from Kusumbagh residential area of the city.

Many feared missing in swamps of rainwater and mud, they said.

However, Chittagong Divisional Commissioner Mokhlesur Rahman so far confirmed 85 deaths.

All educational institutions in Chittagong were closed due to the catastrophic situation.
