Convict commits suicide while on parole

Nagpur, June 12 (UNI) A murder convict, undergoing life imprisonment, committed suicide while on parole at his native village in Buldhana district today.

According to police, the convict identified as Sudhakar Shankar Kapse (50), hung himself from a tree near his house in village Shelsur, about 15 Km from Buldhana, early this morning.

The cause of the suicide is not known, police said. Kapse had been convicted on charges of murdering his wife five years ago and had been lodged in the Central Jail in Amravati. He had come home after recently being released on parole, police said.
