Cloudy weather predicted in UP
Lucknow, June 12 (UNI) The temperature in the Uttar Pradesh capital showed a remarkable dip giving the much needed respite to people from the heat wave.
The Met department has predicted rains along with thundershowers at a few places in western UP and isolated places of eastern UP.
The temperature in Gorakhpur was 30 degrees, Bahraich 33, Bareilly 37, Sulatanpur 36, Varanasi 37 and Allahabad and Kanpur was 41 degrees each.
The Taj city of Agra was the hottest at 44 degrees.
State Meteorological Centre Director K P Kulshrestha told UNI that the monsoon was expected to cover the whole of Bihar and Jharkhand before toucing UP in the next couple of days.
Southern and western regions of UP comprising Jhansi and Agra divisions and sporadic places in 'Purvanchal' had already experienced pre-monsoon showers.
Meanwhile, the humidity levels are also rising making the weather hot and sultry.
Several places in UP are also grappling with long power cuts and severe water crisis posing hardships for the people.
