CBI raid Archaeological Dept official's house
Kancheepuram, June 12 (UNI) CBI sleuths today raided the house of a foreman working for the Archaeological Department and reportedly seized incriminating documents and cash.
CBI sources said, based on information, Dilip (46) had accumulated assets disproportionate to his known sources of income by taking up fake contracts under his friends' names.
A ten-member team raided his house at Mamallanagar here.
Though they were tightlipped about the seizure of cash, the officials said they took some files with them.
However, sources said the seizure included lakhs of rupees in cash which Dilip earned through the contracts for temple renovation and clearing work.
