CBI begins final argument in Chandrashekhar murder case
Patna, Jun 12 (UNI) The CBI today began its final argument against accused Dhruv Jaiswal, Munna Khan and Ilham Waris in the JNU students' leader Chandrashekhar murder case.
The final argument began in the court of Aditional District Judge B M Srivastav.
Chandrashekhar was shot dead at JP round about in Siwan on March 31, 1997 when he was addressing a public meeting.
Controversial RJD MP Md Shahabuddin, who has been convicted in two criminal cases and awarded life, was also made one of the accused in the murder. The CBI, however, had not sent him up for trial and the investigation against Shahabuddin in the particular case was pending. The MP was already on bail in the Chandrashekhar murder case.
Meanwhile, the court issued production warrant against Rustam Miyan lodged in Gopalganj jail, another accused of Chandrashekhar murder case.
The examination of evidence of both sides had been completed in the case.
The mater would be heard again on June 27.
