BJP workers not being neglected in MP: Sumitra
Jabalpur, Jun 12 (UNI) Senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Sumitra Mahajan today said it would be wrong to say that party workers were being neglected even though the BJP was holding Madhya Pradesh's reins.
''Irrespective of which party is in power, the work of administration is always done by officials,'' she told mediapersons here.
Responding to a query on the BJP's loss in the recent Shivpuri assembly bypoll, Ms Mahajan said the party organisation would review the defeat.
''The BSP and Bharatiya Janshakti might influence the outcome of Madhya Pradesh's 2008 assembly election on account of the BSP's unprecedented success in neighbouring Uttar Pradesh,'' she added.
Fielding a question on whether she was in the race for chief ministership, Ms Mahajan said she diligently undertook whatever work was given to her by the party.
''There is need for fresh thought on reservation and a national debate should take place on the reservation policy. Various castes demanding reservation is not a good indication,'' she felt.
