Property dispute; Woman kills 75-yr-old man

Hoshiarpur, June 12: A 75-year-old farmer was allegedly beaten to death by a woman in Salempur village of the district police said.

According to police sources yesterday, a dispute over a chunk of land was going on between victim Darshan Singh and Surinder Kaur, wife of Jagir Singh. Darshan had lodged a complaint with the police in this connection.

On sunday evening when he was returning home from his farm, Surinder Kaur confronted him and gave him a severe thrashing. The blows he received on his chest ultimately led to his death in hospital.

The police has booked Surinder Kaur under section 304 of the IPC.
