41 SPs, 71 DCPs transfered in Maharashtra

Mumbai, June 12 (UNI) In a major reshuffle, 41 SPs and 71 DCPs have been transferred in Maharashtra.

Among those to be transferred is Sindhudurg SP K M Prasanna whose tenure in Sindhudurg was mired in controversy during the Malvan bye-elections. Mr Prasana, who was seen as a protege of Revenue Minister Narayan Rane, has been transferred to Mumbai, according to official sources here.

Amrawati SP Krishna Prakash has been transferred to Sangli.

Hingoli SP S S Khandare, Ratnagiri additional SP J D Supekar and Bhiwandi Circle II DCP R P Shengaonkar have been transferred to Pune.
