100 gm smack seized from Northeast district, one arrested
New Delhi, June 12 (UNI) Police today seized 100 gm of smack, worth Rs 10 lakh in the international market, from a person in Northeast Delhi.
40-year-old Mohd Saleem, a resident of Bawana in Northeast Delhi, was arrested at the Sonia Vihar Pushta Road based on a tip off that he was going towards Loni border to sell the drug.
On his search, 100 gm of smack were recovered.
A case under NDPS Act has been registered.
In another incident, the West District police seized from three persons 70 kgs of Ganja.
The three, hailing from West Bengal, were arrested from Rohtak Road yesterday after the drugs were recovered from them during routine checking of their baggage by the police.
The accused disclosed that the consignment was received by them from Cooch Behar in West Bengal and that they used to sell it in different areas in and around Delhi at a handsome profit.
