MP: Undertrials escape in handcuffs

Badwani(MP), June 11: Two undertrials undergoing treatment at the district hospital here escaped in handcuffs early this morning, police said.

Both undertrials having identical name Kailash were admitted to the hospital here on June 9 after they were brought from Sendhwa subjail. Both, facing charges of theft and dacoity, escaped in handcuffs through the hospital's rear door, Superintendent of Police Dinesh Chandra Sharma said.

While a massive hunt had been started in search of the escapees, two constables Sanjay and Shriram deployed at the hospital had been suspended, he added.
