TN: Two drowned in river Cauvery

Tiruchirapalli, June 11: Two youths drowned while taking a bath in river Cauvery at Jeeyapuram near here last evening.

Police said R Balasubramanian (27) and his friend S Murali (26) ventured into the waters for taking a bath. After some time, the duo was reported missing.

On a complaint from their parents, police and fire service personnel searched for the bodies and fished them out today.

Police suspect that they might have been caught in quick sand.
