Silver steady, gold eases on bullish global advice
Mumbai, June 11: Silver today remained steady even as Gold eased by Rs 30 per ten gm on the Bombay Bullion Association.
Silver fineness .999 resumed high at Rs 18,385 on good demand.
Later, it fell and closed at Rs 18,375 on moderate demand from Saturday's close.
In London, silver went up to USD 13.11/13.15 per troy ounce against USD 13.07/13.10 per troy ounce in New York.
However, standard gold (99.5) and pure gold (99.9) opened weak at Rs 8,670 and Rs 8,725 per ten gm respectively.
Later, the yellow metal drifted lower and closed at Rs 8,660 and Rs 8,710 per ten gm respectively with a loss of Rs 30 each from its last close.
In London, gold edged up at USD 649.00/652.00 per troy ounce as compared to USD 644.00/648.00 per troy ounce in New York on Friday.
Following are the spot silver and gold closing prices: Silver (per kg) .999 grade : Rs 18,375 (18,375), Gold (per 10 gm): Standard mint 99.5 purity : Rs 8,660 (8,690) Pure gold 99.9 purity : Rs 8,710 (8,740).
