Rihanna tops UK album and singles charts

LONDON, June 11 (Reuters) Barbados-born singer Rihanna dominated the British pop market on Sunday, topping both the album and singles charts, according to the Official UK Charts Company.

The R&B artist's third album ''Good Girl Gone Bad'' was the nation's bestseller in its first week on release, while her ''Umbrella'', featuring New York rapper Jay-Z, was the number one single for a fourth week.

''Puzzle'' from Scottish rock group Biffy Clyro led six other new entries in the album charts, debuting at number two.

Birmingham indie band Twang were new at three with ''Love It When I Feel Like This'', while Paul McCartney entered at five with his new album ''Memory Almost Full''.

London rapper Dizzee Rascal's ''Maths&English'' was new at number seven while American goth rocker Marilyn Manson debuted at eight with ''Eat Me Drink Me''.

New at number ten was ''Real Girl'' from ex-Sugababes singer Mutya Buena, who was also steady at number two in the singles charts with the album's title track.

The third best-selling single of the week came from Scottish electro musician Calvin Harris, up six places with ''The Girls''.

New York hip hop band Gym Class Heroes climbed two places to fourth place with their single ''Cupid's Chokehold'', while Sheffield indie act Reverend And The Makers were up four at number eight with ''Heavyweight Champion Of The World''.

Spanish crooner Enrique Iglesias jumped 19 places to number nine with ''Do You Know''.

The highest new entry in the singles charts was ''Icky Thump'' from American rock duo the White Stripes at number 13.
