Guj: 4 dead, 1 injured as car rams into speeding train

Rajkot, June 11: Four persons, including a couple, were killed and another one severely injured when their car rammed into a speeding passenger train at an unmanned railway crossing near Lathi in Amreli district.

The mishap occurred yesterday when the occupants of the ill-fated car were returning to Rajkot from Lathi.

The deceased were identified as Ramesh Topia (42), his wife Mina (36), Ramesh Dudhatra (35) and Chhagan Dholaria (40), all residents of Rajkot, police said today.

The seriously injured woman was undergoing medical treatment at the civil hospital here, where her condition was stated to be 'critical', they added.
