CPM activist shot dead

Midnapore, Jun 11 (UNI) A CPI(M) activist was shot dead near Dumuria, his home village, under Jamboni police station, this afternoon, police said.

About eight-ten Jharkhand Party supporters allegedly fired at Bikash Maity(35) from close range.

Bikash's name figures in the police records for giving shelter to notorious dacoits in the area.

No arrest has been made yet.
