BJP protest Sonia's statement on Mahadayi

Hubli, June 11 (UNI) Activists of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) city unit here today took out a protest rally protesting against the statement of Congress President Sonia Gandi that her party would support diversion of Mahadayi waters in to Malaprabha, during her electioneering in Goa recently.

They also blocked the road for some after burning an effigy of Ms Gandhi. Police arrested 40 workers and released them later in the evening when they attempted continue the seize.
