Three abducted by naxals

Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, June 10 (UNI) Three people have been abducted by naxals from Mahimagawadi village in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh, police said today.

Sen Yadav, Venkat Patel and Tugeram were abducted from their home for providing food to employees engaged in repair work of electric poles, damaged by naxals.

Meanwhile, naxals have released four people, including two women, from among nine people, who were abducted by them from Dantewara district yesterday.

In a separate incident, naxals also set fire to a conveyor belt of a machine at the National Mineral Development Corporation's Bacheli unit. Last night's incident caused a loss of Rs 50 lakh to the corporation.

Besides, naxals also set on fire two machines being used for road construction work near Tumka Pal village.

Lat night, naxals had also set in a forest department depo in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh.
