Three abducted by Naxals
Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, June 10 (UNI) Three people have been abducted by Naxals from Mahimagawadi village in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh, police said today.
Sen Yadav, Venkat Patel and Tugeram were abducted from their home for providing food to the employees engaged in the repair work of electric poles, damaged by the Naxals.
Meanwhile, the Naxals have released four people, including two women, from among nine people, who were abducted by them from Dantewara district yesterday.
In a separate incident, the Naxals also set fire to a conveyor belt of a machine at the National Mineral Development Corporation's Bacheli unit. Last night's incident caused a loss of Rs 50 lakh to the corporation.
Besides, the Naxals also set on fire two machines used for road construction work near Tumka Pal village.
Last night, the Naxals had also set fire in a forest department depot in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh.
