SSB recovers firearms, ammunition

Bagha, Jun 10 (UNI) Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel today recovered a huge cache of firearms and ammunition from naxalite affected area of Ragia Pahar under Gobardhan Police Station area in West Champaran district.

SSB Commandant H R Barot said here that when security personnel were patrolling the area, they found the firearms and ammunition hidden in the bushes. The weapons were probably hidden by the Maoist ultras, he added.

Mr Barot said the ammunition included seven country-made guns, several live cartridges and other suspicious articles. The patrolling in the area had been increased keeping in view the growing extremism in the area.
