Need to implement RTI Act fully: Arvind Kejriwal

Gorakhpur, June 10 (UNI) Terming Right to Information (RTI) Act as the base of decomcracy, Ramon Magsaysay award recipient Arvind Kejriwal said a struggle lies ahead to implement the act fully.

The RTI was identified as a fundamental right in a significant judgement of Raj Narayan vs State of UP case, Mr Kejriwal said in a Journalist Press Club Meet here last night.

''In democracy, public is the master, whereas, the government officers are the servants, and master has the right to know each and every information.

''The making of this law involved a lot of struggle and the same struggle lies ahead for its proper implimentation,'' he observed.

The decisions of Cental Information Commission that are against the rules and regulations of the RTI act, are a matter of concern.

Mr Kejriwal, further, told the journalists how to exercise the right.
