MP reels under oppressive heat
Bhopal, June 10 (UNI) Although Madhya Pradesh continued to reel under oppressive heat, a minor drop in mercury was recorded at some places.
A regional meteorological spokesperson said mercury dropped by one-two notches at several places with maximum temperature hovering around 39-44 degree Celsius.
A few days back mercury had shot up to 43-47 C.
Some places in northern Madhya Pradesh blazed at above 44 C temperature.
A high of 44.8 C was recorded in Gwalior, followed by Rewa 44.5 C, Satna 43.8 C, and Jabalpur 42.5 C.
A maximum temperature of 41.1 C, three marks below normal, was recorded in the state capital, while minimum temperature was 29.4 C, three marks below normal.
The temperature in the state capital was hovering around 42-43 C in the past few days. A maximum of 39.6 C was recorded in Indore UNI
