Four suspected bookies held
Mumbai, June 9 (UNI) City police today arrested four suspected bookies from the Malwani area in suburban Malad for allegedly betting on the ongoing second Afro-Asia Cup.
''We have arrested some bookies, and they are being interrogated,'' a Malwani Police Station official told UNI.
He, however, did not specify the number of bookies arrested nor divulged any other detail.
The three-match day-night one-day international series in the second editions of the Afro-Asian Cup is being held in India.
Asia XI has already clinched the Cup with a 31-run victory over Africa XI in the second one-dayer of the Cup held in Chennai today.
The first one-dayer was played at Bangalore on June 6 and won by Asia XI by 34 runs.
The third and final match of the Cup is to be played tomorrow at Chennai.
