Dharmendra gets award for outstanding contribution
Sheffield, June 10 (UNI) Yesteryears Matinee idol Dharmendra, who started his career in late fifties and is currently working with his sons in 'Apne', was given the award for outstanding contribution to the film industry by his co-star in many films Amitabh Bachchan at a function held here last night.
Amitabh, while praising Dharmendra said it was he, who recommended his name for Sholay to Ramesh Sippy.
After accepting the award, Dharmendra called both his sons Sunny and Bobby, director of 'Apne' Anil Sharma and Kiron Kher on the dais.
Bobby broke down while speaking about his father and could manage to say 'my father is the best'.
Dharmendra is also here to promote his film 'Apne' in which the three Deols are acting.
