Two watchmen killed in Thane

Thane, Jun 9 (UNI) Miscreants killed two watchman at Godhbunder road here, police said.

A group of three to four armed robbers attacked Dawood Abdullah (53) and Ramkumar Singh (42) were beaten up with iron rods and stones late last evening, while they were on the night duty at Batata company, police said today.

While Abdullah was killed on the spot, Singh died on way to the civil hospital.

Preliminary investigations have indicated that robbery was the motive behind the attack.

A offence of murder has been registered against the unknown assailants.

Futher investigations are on, sources added.
