Sawmill owner murdered

Tirupati, June 9 (UNI) A 65-year-old sawmill owner was murdered and robbed of Rs 20,000 by unidentified persons at Vadamalapeta, near here, today.

Police said the owner, P Janardhanam, went to the mill alone from his house, located on the town outskrits, last night.

When his son Dilip went to the mill the next day, he saw his father lying in a pool of blood and the cash also missing.

The body was taken to the Government Ruia Hospital in Tirupati for post-mortem.
