HP reinstates suspended ADGP

Shimla, Jun 9 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh has reinstated suspended Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) B S Thind following recommendations from a committee set up under state Chief Secretary, official sources today said.

The decision to reinstate Mr Thind was taken late last night after the committee absolved him of charges regarding non-payment of bank loans in the neighbouring states, the sources told UNI.

The state government had suspended the ADGP following a non bailable warrant against him by a Patiala court in the state of Punjab on October 25, last year.

The sources said his new posting has not yet been decided and said it would only be announced after a reshuffle of senior IPS and HPS officers in the state soon.
