Fire damages cotton

Barrackpore, Jun 09 (UNI) A substantial quantity of cotton was gutted in a fire that broke out in Sodepur Cotton Mill at Natagarh under Kharda police station in North 24 Parganas today.

According to fire brigade sources here, the fire broke out at about 10 am. Three tenders were pressed into service to douse the blaze.

The cause of fire and extent of damage were yet to be ascertained, they said.
