Central schemes not being utilised properly: Pachauri

Bhopal, June 9 (UNI) Union Personnel and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Pachauri today alleged that the Madhya Pradesh Government was misusing welfare schemes of the Centre.

Mr Pachauri, while addressing a block Congress Committee training camp, said the state government was receiving all help from the Centre but the former was misusing it.

''It is the responsibility of Congress workers to make people aware about these welfare schemes of the Centre,'' he said.

Mr Pachauri said before elections, efforts must be made to fix the responsibility of party workers at polling centres after examination of electoral list.

Earlier, Mr Pachauri took part in the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha at Gufa Mandir and received blessings from Mumbai's Swami Madhvacharya Maharaj.

Priests at the temple informed Mr Pachauri about recent attack on Sadhvi Siyadasi and Baba Raghunath Das by anti-social elements over land in Hanuman temple premises in Raisen and demanded appropriate action in this regard.

Criticising the incident, Mr Pachauri spoke to the Raisen Superintendent of Police over telephone and asked him to take strict legal action against the culprits.

He said strong action would be taken so that such incidents were not repeated.
