Abducted student rescued

Khagaria, June 9 (UNI) A Businessman'son Prateek, who was kidnapped from Saharsa two days ago, was rescued by police late last night from Chaurli village under Beldor police station area in Khagaria district.

District superintendent of police Vinit Vinayak here today said that acting on a tip-off, a joint action team of Saharsa and Khagaria police force raided a hide-out of criminals near Chaurli village and rescued the boy.

MR Vinayak said the victim was well and added that six people were arrested in this connection.

The criminals had picked up the boy while going to school presumably to realise a hefty amount from his father as ransom.
