Sonia leaves for Netherlands

New Delhi, June 8 (UNI) Congress President Sonia Gandhi left for the Netherlands early this morning to deliver a lecture on an invitation from the Nexus Institutte, a leading Dutch thinktank established in Tilburg.

Ms Gandhi will deliver Nexus lecture 2007 on the subject,"Living Politics,what India has taught me" at the University of Tilburg tomorrow.

Earlier today, Prime Minister of Netherlands Dr Jan Peter Balkenende is due to host a dinner in honours of Ms Gandhi.

Nexus Institute organises lectures and conferences on political, cultural and philosophical topics.

Earlier,the well-know-Indian writer Amartya Sen gave a lecture at the Nexus Insitutue.

Mrs Gandhi is schedule to return to New Delhi on June 10,according to Congress sources.
