Mithi river cleaning almost over: Singh

Mumbai, June 8 (UNI) Additional Municipal Commissioner Shrikant Singh today said the cleaning of the Mithi river was almost over except at Kranti Nagar area near Kurla.

Singh told reporters here that the expansion work of Mithi river was stalled because of a few demolitions, that will be carried out this week by officials of the suburban collectors' office, and the people will be shifted in MHADA buildings.

He said the removal of encroachments on the Gorai creek will be done before the onset of the monsoon.
