Kremlin sees shield as joint US-Russia project

Heiligendamm (Germany), June 8: Russia is sure that a US project to deploy parts of a missile shield in Europe can be turned into a joint project, a senior Kremlin aide said.

''We hope and we can even say we are sure that in the near future ... contacts at the highest level and among our experts will allow us to make this initiative a joint one,'' said Sergei Prikhodko, foreign policy aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
