Inflation dips to 4.85 per cent
New Delhi, June 8: The headline inflation further dipped to 4.85 per cent for the week ended May 26 from 5.06 per cent a week ago on account of decline in food prices.
This was for the sixth consecutive week when inflation moved southward.
The annual inflation rate was 4.99 per cent during the corresponding week of the previous year.
In the coming weeks also, inflation is likely to fall as in the same period alst year inflation had firmed up.
