Detonators, explosives seized from SL refugee

Tiruchirapalli, June 8: Police seized explosive materials and detonators from a Sri Lankan Tamil refugee at a transit camp for in Vazhavandankottai near here.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team raided yesterday the house of John Feptisa (28) and seized nine detonators and some explosive materials, without proper documents, police said today.

During interrogation, he told the police that the explosives were meant for a stone quarry, where he was working as a labourer.

Further investigations were on, police added.
