Administration should deliver goods,implement manifesto:Kamat

Panaji, June 8 (UNI) Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat today asked bureaucrats to ''deliver goods to the people by totally implementing the party manifesto''.

Addresing the first meeting with the government secretaries at the Porvorim Secretariat complex after taking over reins of the state, Mr Kamat favoured formation of a ''Manifesto Implementation Committee'' under his leadership involving politicians, social workers, technocrats and bureaucrats at the earliest.

''The government is firmly committed to implementing the party manifesto in toto to gain confidence of the people,'' he said.

Reviewing the law and order situation, Mr Kamat asked the authorities to adopt people-friendly behaviour and advised the revenue staff to gear themselves up for meeting monsoon emergencies.

His cabinet colleagues Ravi S Naik and Ramakrishna S Dhavlikar, besides chief secretary J P Singh, were present on the occasion.
