5 killed in freak road accident

Lucknow, June 8 (UNI) At least five persons, including a girl, were killed and four others grievously injured in a road mishap in Aligarh district this morning.

Secretary (home) Avinash Srivastava said some passengers of the roadways bus were resting near the roadside, as the vehicle's punctured tyre was being replaced, when a speeding truck hit the stationary bus from behind, and it ran over these passengers, killing five on the spot.

Four others, who were seriously injured, were admitted to hospital.
