Passengers' protest delays Tata Muri at Jammu Tawi

Jammu, Jun 7 (UNI) Tatanagar-bound Tata Muri Express was delayed by an hour at Jammu Tawi railway station today after the passengers protested the poor public amenities in the train, sources said.

The passengers alleged that neither the air conditioners of the train (No. 8102) were working nor there was water in the toilets of the coaches, sources said.

Passengers came out of their coaches and started protesting against the Railways authorities.

Scheduled for departure at 1430 hrs, the train that covers 2033-kms-long distance via New Delhi-Kanpur-Allahabad, could leave for its destination only after about an hour delay, sources said.

However, authorities were not available for comments.
