Wanted Maoist leader nabbed in AP
Warangal, Andhra Pradesh, June 6(UNI) CPI (Maoist) Leader and prime accused in IPS Officer Paradeshi Naidu Murder Case Kodavati Kumara Swamy alias Naganna has been arrested by the police here.
Disclosing this at a press conference here today, Superintendent of Police Soumya Mishra said Kumara Swamy was known for his attacks on police stations and security personnel. He was the prime accused in the killing of the then Superintendent of Police of the Mahaboobnagar District Paradeshi Naidu.
He was an accused in 14 cases. Among them were ten murder cases including the one involving the killing of eight police personnel.
Ms Soumya said he was involved in attacks on three police stations, blasted a similar number of police vehicles and snatched several weapons from police. He was carrying a reward of Rs three lakh on his head.
He was the Mahaboobnagar district committee secretary and also a member of South Teleangana Zonal Committee.
