Veteran cameraman Udale passes away

Kolhapur, Jun 6 (UNI) Veteran cameraman in the Marathi and Hindi film industry, Suresh alias Sakharam Govind Udale, passed away following a brief illness at his residence here yesterday.

He was 71 and is survived by his wife and two sons.

Born in Panhala taluka of this district, Udale worked as assistant cameraman with well-known director Yash Chopra for ten years in films like ''Deewar'', ''Kabhie Kabhie'', and others.

Among the other prominent films he shot as cameraman were ''Dista Tasa Nasta'', ''Daivat'', ''Gharandaj'', ''Gavran Gangu'', and ''Nikhare''.
