Two NDF activists arrested

Kannur, June 6 (UNI) Police arrested two National Development Front (NDF) activists and seized weapons from their house at Punnad in the district today.

The arrested were identified as M Yahia (22) and his father M K Ahamed Kutty (50).

Acting on a tip-off, the Irritty police raided their house in the wee hours and arrested the duo, who were absconding for quite some time, and seized weapons, including 11 swords and one axe, police said.

Yahia was an accused in three cases, including the murder of Hindu Aikyavedi District Convener Swini Kumar, while his father was an accused in another criminal case, police said.
