Two injured in Mcleodganj blast
Dharamshala, Jun 6 (UNI) Two women, including an 80-year old, were injured in a blast at the staff quarters of the employees of the Tibetan Government-in-exile at Mcleodganj early today, district SP A K Yadav said.
An 80-year old woman, identified as Yangchan, and her woman were injured in the blast that occurred at 0200 hrs while they were asleep, he told UNI here.
Mr Yadav said the roof of the staff quarters blew off partially due to the impact in which both the women received minor burn injuries.
The cause of the blast was, however, not immediately known, he said, adding that forensic experts have been called to investigate and pin point the reasons for the blast in the otherwise peaceful town of Himachal.
Since the blast took place in the kitchen of a quarter, explosion due to leakage in the LGP cylinder cannot be ruled out, he said.
Meanwhile, a meeting of the senior police officers was held here to review the security arrangements for the Tibetan Government-in-exile.
