Two get lifer in a murder case

Samastipur, June 6 (UNI) A fast-track court has awarded life imprisonment to two people in connection with a murder case.

The convicts were also slapped with a fine of Rs 20,000 each.

In a judgement pronounced yesterday, Additional District and Sessions judge Chandrabhan Singh of the fast-track court found Bhola Singh and Praful Kumar Singh guilty of killing Raman Kumar Singh.

The convicts are residents of Dharampur village under Mohiuddin Nagar police station in the district.

According to the charges, the convicts had shot dead Raman Kumar of Dharampur village on June 20, 2004, when he was on his way to attend a local fair.
