TJSB, KJSB sign agreement for data center sharing

Thane, June 6 (UNI) The Thane Janata Sahakari Bank (TJSB) has signed an agreement with The Kalyan Janata Sahakari Bank (KJSB) for sharing TJSB's Data Center for deployment of Core Banking Solution of The Kalyan Janata Sahakari Bank.

The agreement was signed by chairman Vidyadhar Vaishampayan, vice chairperson Dr Suvarna T Rawal, and CEO Ravindra Karve on behalf of TJSB, while for Kalyan Janata Sahakari Bank, chairman Dr Vasant D Kane and general manager Sudhakar N Gokhale put their signatures.

Having established its own Data Center, TJSB had offered the services of its Data Center to other banks in the cooperative sector.

According to TJSB, the data center sharing will help co-operative banks to reduce the total cost of CBS implementation, banks do not need to have technical experts to manage data center services, and technical obsolescence/up-gradation risks are reduced considerably.

Mr Vaishampayan, speaking on the occasion, said the Data Center sharing will further consolidate ties between both the banks and, in future, ATM sharing and delivery channels sharing will also become possible.

The TJSB has 20 branches and five extension counters with business mix of over Rs 2300 crore. Its branches are spread across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune and Nashik.
