Squall likely to hit state in evening

Kolkata, Jun 06 (UNI) Weather remained pleasant from morning as cool winds kept the state under cloudy cauldron.

The maximum temperature of the day was at 35.6 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal, while the minimum was at 29.4 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normel.

However, no rainfall was recorded by the Met office.

The maximum relative humidity was pegged at 86 per cent while the minimum was at 65 per cent.

Met office forecast partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thundershowers between 1900 to 2200 hours. Squall is likely to hit the districts of Howrah, Burdwan, Birbhum, Purulia and Nadia.

Wind speed would be around 60 km per hour.
