Silver eases, Gold steady
Mumbai, June 6 (UNI) Silver was down by Rs 25 per kg on thin buying support even as Gold remained steady on moderate demand today on the Bombay Bullion Association.
Silver fineness .999 opened low at Rs 18,890 on sluggish demand.
Later, it eased slightly and closed at Rs 18,885 with a loss of Rs 25 per kg from yesterday's close.
In London, Silver was down to USD 13.70/13.72 per troy ounce against USD 13.73/13.75 per troy ounce in New York.
Standard Gold (99.5) and pure Gold (99.9) also opened upward at Rs 8,865 and Rs 8,905 per ten gm respectively on better buying support.
Later, the yellow metal was down and closed at Rs 8,850 and Rs 8,900 per ten gm on the same rate from its last close.
In London, Gold fell at USD 666.00/668.00 per troy ounce as compared to USD 670.00/673.00 per troy ounce in New York on Tuesday.
